Ranjith, an aspiring filmmaker working for a local TV prank show, saves Pournami from harassing youths while dressed as a police officer. This event marks his entry into the story, showcasing his propensity for involving himself in unexpected situations. His act garners attention and initiates a series of connected events.

Sunny, a small-time businessman, is rushing to a crucial meeting with his father-in-law Stephen to secure a contract. However, he is tricked into a fake murder scenario by Ranjith's crew, leading to Sunny being publicly humiliated after being falsely arrested for murder on a prank show. This setback damages his business prospects and reputation.

During a filming session, Ranjith's crew unintentionally humiliates a passing public prosecutor by hitting him with their prank setup. The incident complicates Ranjith's relationships and introduces tension with legal authorities involved in a high-profile harassment case.

Ranjith and Pournami meet randomly and fall in love. Their relationship faces societal and familial objections, particularly from Pournami's father, who disapproves of Ranjith, creating emotional conflict and challenging their bond.

While filming Pournami, Ranjith unknowingly captures footage of Vijay Antony's murder. His screenplay incorporates these real-life events, dramatizing his personal experiences and adding layers to his story while blurring the lines between fiction and reality.
