Martha feels trapped in a life she no longer wants—she abandons her writing career, flees her husband, and distances herself from a psychiatrist whose relationship has become intimate. As she wanders a storm‑swept, deserted city, the bleak external landscape mirrors her inner chaos. Interwoven flashbacks reveal the roots of her madness, a death‑obsession and a desperate search for catharsis.
