The King announces a reward for anyone who can locate a significant object of hope for the kingdom. Inspired by this call to action, Nikolas's father, Joel, joins a group of hunters in the pursuit of Elfhelm, leaving Nikolas with Aunt Carlotta.

Nikolas discovers a map that identifies the path to Elfhelm, leading him to embark on a journey to find his father. The hope of reuniting with Joel motivates him to brave the challenges ahead.

During the journey, Nikolas discovers that Miika can talk, providing him with an unexpected ally. Miika’s newfound ability inspires Nikolas with hope, reinforcing his determination to continue searching for Elfhelm.

As Nikolas traverses the Half Moon Forest, he meets a reindeer named Blitzen, who offers him a ride. This encounter enables Nikolas to travel more swiftly toward Elfhelm, building excitement for what lies ahead.

Upon reaching Elfhelm, Nikolas’s hopes are dashed when he discovers only his father's knife left behind. This discovery leaves him feeling hopeless and devastated as he collapses under the weight of despair.

As Nikolas lies defeated, he is discovered by Little Noosh and Father Topo. Father Topo casts a 'hope spell', allowing Nikolas to regain his strength and see Elfhelm, which is only visible to those who truly believe.

Nikolas learns that a small elf named Little Kip is in danger, having been captured by humans. In a daring act of bravery, he escapes with the help of the Truth Pixie and moves to rectify the misunderstanding with the group.

After associating with the hunters, Nikolas discovers his father is among them. Concerned for Little Kip’s safety, Joel devises a daring plan to rescue both Nikolas and the elf from the clutches of their pursuers.

During the escape, Blitzen selflessly sacrifices himself so that Nikolas, Little Kip, and the others can flee from danger. This act of courage profoundly impacts Nikolas, emphasizing the theme of sacrifice and friendship.

With Little Kip safely rescued, Nikolas returns to Elfhelm, where he plans to spread joy by creating toys and candies. He ventures back to the human kingdom, presenting a toy to the King as a symbol of hope.
