7 Dwarves - Men Alone in the Woods

Little Red Riding Hood wanders into Unterwaldt to pick flowers. The dwarf Bubi spies on her, triggering trouble when a bear attacks him, revealing the bear is actually the disguised dwarf Tschakko. Because dwarves forbid looking at women, Tschakko is punished by squirrels tickling his feet.

A meeting of the dwarves is interrupted by a newcomer named Ralphie who wants to join the seven dwarves. The dwarves explain there are already seven and cannot accept him. They decide to block women's access to the forest, initially considering blowing up a bridge but ending up placing a sign that forbids women to pass.

The queen consults her magic mirror, which proclaims Snow White to be more beautiful than the queen. The queen orders the hunter, who had previously been tasked with getting rid of Snow White, to act again. He takes Snow White to the orphanage.

At the orphanage, Snow White plays with dolls while the mirror's ghost appears in the dollhouse mirror to warn of a roundup. Snow White runs away, and the hunter with his dog Brutus keeps tracking her until they lose her. They return to the castle, and the hunter later reports that Brutus mauled Snow White into a thousand pieces and ate her.

The dwarves return to their cottage to find Snow White sleeping there. They initially plan to get rid of her, but Snow White suggests dividing the house into two parts. The dwarves discuss whether height defines a dwarf, arguing that it's the lifestyle that counts, and Ralphie's wish to become a seventh dwarf is rejected again.

Snow White learns why each dwarf dislikes or fears women: Sunny and Cloudy were expelled from school by a female teacher; Speedy fell for Rapunzel until her left braid was cut; Tschakko refuses to beat women; Cookie's vegetarian dish offended his mother; Brummboss starts to tell his tale but doesn't finish.

The queen consults the magic mirror again and discovers Snow White is still alive. She locks the hunter in the dungeon and dresses up to confront Snow White herself.

While the dwarves plan a surprise party for Snow White's eighteenth birthday, the queen kidnaps her. The dwarves race to the castle to rescue her, only to find Brummboss missing.

In the dungeon, Brummboss, disguised as a priest, visits Snow White and explains why he hates women. He recounts that his wife and child died during delivery, leading him to abdicate as king. The midwife then took the crown and became queen; the law states the ruler is the person who wears the crown.

Still in disguise, Brummboss takes Snow White toward the scaffold. Just before the execution, he reveals that he is Snow White's father, the long-lost king. He places the crown on his head and resumes the throne.

The remaining dwarves return to their cottage, now six in number, as Brummboss reclaims the throne. Ralphie is finally chosen as the seventh dwarf, resolving the earlier recruitment issue.

The dwarves vow never to help women again, but this pledge is tested when Little Red Riding Hood arrives at their door, lost in the woods and seeking help. The encounter signals new trouble and an unsettled alliance for Snow White and her companions.
