Thirty‑year‑old Hlynur still lives with his mother, drinking, watching porn and surfing the net while surviving on unemployment checks. A girl is interested, but he avoids commitment. When his mother’s Spanish flamenco teacher, Lola, moves in for Christmas, Hlynur discovers on New Year’s Eve that she is a lesbian and ends up sleeping with her. He must confront his tangled relationship with his mother and learn to live less selfishly.
