KGB agents abduct two look‑alike criminals, Franco and Ciccio, and force them to pose as missing cosmonauts. The impostors are launched and staged to land publicly, even convincing the astronauts’ wives. When the genuine spacecraft returns intact, the charade collapses; the dupes stay in Russia while the real astronauts relocate to Italy.
