Zombie Apocalypse

The VM2 virus is first discovered in a French woman in June 2012. Within 28 days, 83% of Europe is infected, turning the crisis into a global pandemic. Six months later, the zombie plague has wiped out 90% of the United States population.

The outbreak spreads beyond Europe, eventually reaching Japan and the United States. Governments scramble to respond as infrastructure collapses and fear spreads through remaining populations. The world descends into a full-scale crisis.

Six months after the outbreak began, the zombie plague has wiped out a vast majority of Americans. The remaining survivors struggle to stay alive amid the chaos and dwindling resources. Communities have collapsed under the pressure of constant attacks.

In the present, Ramona, Billie, and Kevin descend from a cabin to search a small town for food and news. They raid an auto repair garage, hoping to find supplies and information about other survivors. The quiet search quickly turns dangerous as the threat of zombies looms.

A horde swarms the garage, and Kevin is bitten and begins turning. Cassie acts quickly to end his suffering, saving the group from a collapsing moral line. The survivors decide to press on together despite the loss.

The group learns they are headed toward Catalina, a supposed survivor camp. A bow-wielding rescuer saves Mack, Julian, and Ramona from a burning house and leads them to a safe house run by archers Myrah, Brockton, and Sarah. The archers discuss routes and agree to a plan to reach the ferry.

Inside the safe house, the archers and survivors debate their route to the Catalina ferry. Mack wants to backtrack to find Henry and Cassie, but Brockton cautions against it. They decide to stick to the original plan and move forward together.

The group moves through the city when a hidden zombie in a portable toilet triggers chaos. Julian is bitten and, despite his offer to sacrifice himself, begins to turn. The group restrains him as Mack breaks his neck to prevent further harm.

Henry and Cassie split from the main group to pursue a ferry route of their own, using grenades from an abandoned army post to create a distraction. The explosion draws hordes toward the others and leaves the two separated on a precarious path. They eventually reconnect with Mack's group after maneuvering through danger.

The combined survivors move toward the docks, scanning for a ferry and following posted quarantine instructions. They also discover freshly killed bodies dragged around, signaling that danger remains close. Hope rises and falls with each step toward escape.

At the docks, two infected tigers attack the group, catching them off guard. Brockton is killed in the assault, and Henry is bitten, forcing the team to confront another tragic loss. The violence underscores the ever-present danger of their journey.

Henry pleads with Cassie to end his suffering, and she shoots him to spare him a slow death. The survivors endure the loss as they prepare for whatever comes next. The ferry's approach offers a glimmer of hope amid ongoing peril.

As the ferry horns break the tense quiet, Mack writes in Julian's diary, memorializing fallen friends and the journey they've endured. The arrival of the ferry signals a possible escape and a new chapter for the survivors. Hope and uncertainty mingle as they await departure.
