Yonggary

In Southeast Asia, Dr. Campbell and Dr. Hughes lead an expedition into cavern ruins. Hughes discovers an alien corpse with a fossilized diamond while Campbell uncovers hieroglyphics pointing to a hidden dinosaur skeleton.

Two years later an alien mothership enters near Earth orbit and destroys two American satellites, drawing the attention of the UNDA. Parker reports the incident to General Murdock.

Bud Black, a photojournalist, learns about a dinosaur dig led by Campbell and his assistant Holly. He begins following the story as public interest grows.

Hughes, believed dead, arrives at the dig site to warn Campbell about the dinosaur's resurrection. Campbell refuses to launch an investigation and Hughes is removed from the site.

The alien ship beams energy to reanimate Yonggary, killing several diggers. The team realizes the dinosaur is being brought back to life by extraterrestrial tech.

Holly confronts Campbell about the mysterious deaths and quits after he refuses to launch an investigation. She leaves determined to uncover the truth on her own.

Hughes explains the Yonggary legend, the alien fossil, and that the government has kept the creature as a personal guest for the last two years. Holly is skeptical at first but becomes convinced after seeing classified data.

The team returns to the dig site to halt Yonggary, but they arrive too late. Yonggary is fully resurrected and Campbell is killed as the alien ship dematerializes the monster.

Holly and Hughes are taken into custody by Parker. Yonggary is teleported before them and escapes, then helicopters engage the creature but are defeated.

Stanley Mills from the NSIA explains that ancient aliens visited Earth 200 million years ago and that vital defeat data was stolen. Mills urges capturing the aliens alive, but Howell wants destroying them.

Yonggary is teleported to Los Angeles and proceeds to attack the city, causing widespread panic. The military scrambles to respond as the monster rampages.

At the UNDA base, Holly and Hughes decode additional hieroglyphics and learn that Yonggary is controlled by a diamond receptor on his forehead and that another great light will be sent to do battle.

A US president orders UNDA to defeat Yonggary within five hours. General Murdock dispatches Project T Forces led by Parker to engage the creature.

The T Forces disrupt the aliens' control long enough for Yonggary to confront Cycor. Yonggary defeats Cycor and the aliens retreat to regroup.

The bomber ordered to kill Yonggary is stopped at the last minute. The UNDA transports Yonggary to a deserted island so he can live in peace.
