Arun, a Chartered Accountant played by Irrfan Khan, works for Saurabh Shukla as Mehta and helps run his illegal business. The partnership sours when Arun decides that Mehta should share 10% of all the growth generated by Arun’s own efforts, a claim that Mehta bluntly refuses to entertain. The rift sets the stage for a tense power struggle between two men who depend on each other while clawing for more control. In the middle of this grinding world of crime and loyalty stands Priti, portrayed by Chitrangada Singh. Meanwhile, Bade, a ruthless Delhi gangster, is introduced as a powerful force who eventually loses the ministerial favor that kept him protected. Bade is a figure of raw intimidation, played by Yashpal Sharma, who finds himself jailed and subjected to humiliation and relentless pressure at the orders of Minister Verma. Bade’s descent creates a ripple effect throughout the criminal ecosystem, drawing in Satbir, a cop with questionable ethics portrayed by Sushant Singh, who operates in Bade’s orbit and helps him “even the odds” in exchange for favors. Satbir’s willingness to bend the law complicates the already fraught balance of power, and his willingness to cut corners foreshadows the tougher choices that everyone will face as the story unfolds.

Kuldeep, played by Arunoday Singh, is Bade’s fellow inmate who is released after serving his sentence. He returns to his wife Shanti, played by Aditi Rao Hydari, carrying a quiet resolve to leave the criminal world behind. Kuldeep’s loyalty to Bade runs deep, but his heart harbors a desire to walk away from the illegal enterprise. Bade’s blessing to exit, and his words to Kuldeep to leave his brother Chhote alone, lay the groundwork for a clash between old loyalties and new beginnings. Shanti, meanwhile, wrestles with fear for her son’s safety and a sense that Kuldeep’s choice to abandon crime could put them all in danger.

Chhote—an eager, ruthless operator within Bade’s circle—seeps into the narrative as a man who wants more, even if it means bending or breaking the rules to get what he desires. He pushes a brazen plan to kidnap Bade from jail to extract bank details, hoping to unlock hidden wealth. Chhote enlists Shakir, among others, to carry out a risky operation that could topple Bade’s carefully built empire and shift the balance of power in Delhi’s crime world. The stakes rise as the Smuggling schemes converge with a kidnapping plot, and the line between ally and enemy becomes dangerously blurred.

Kuldeep, sensing an opportunity and guided by Bade’s postures of mercy and fear, joins a bold, dangerous bid to free Bade by abducting Verma’s would-be son-in-law, Shyam, and the daughter Anjali. The plan is rife with missteps: they end up abducting Shyam and Priti, not Anjali, throwing the entire operation into chaos and forcing Priti to act as a conduit between Verma and the gang. Priti, drawn into the negotiation web, meets Anjali and Verma’s father, a moment that underlines how vastly different lives collide in this city of schemes. Verma remains resistant to negotiation, and the tension thickens as Arun quietly observes, never far from the threads that could unravel everyone.

In a pivotal turn, Arun secretly reconnects with Priti and pledges his help, signaling the growing alliance between two people who have learned that love and danger often travel side by side. He leverages money as leverage, transferring illegal funds into the bank accounts of Verma’s son and threatening to leak the information to the media if Bade’s release is not secured. Verma, cornered by the pressure, yields, and Bade is released from Tihar. Yet the victory is short-lived; the operation reveals deeper treacheries as Chhote’s motives come into sharper focus and Bade’s enemies tighten their grip.

After Bade’s rescue, a sequence of violent reckonings follows. Bade is killed in a firefight as he attempts to escape, ultimately taking his own life. Before dying, Bade phones Chhote to warn him that Kuldeep has access to crucial bank details and that Chhote killed Bade’s father, a revelation that stirs a cold, calculated resolve in Kuldeep. With Bade dead and Chhote now a target, Kuldeep decides to flee the country, demanding a ransom of INR 15 crores from Shyam’s father in a bid to secure his own escape. The plot continues to thicken as Priti, posing as a regular caller, reaches Arun and informs him of the money movements. Arun then reveals that he has transferred an enormous sum—17 crores—into Priti’s account to ensure Shyam’s and her own freedom, and to offer them a chance to build a new life together.

Priti, torn between the life she knew and the possibility of a fresh start with Arun, chooses to act on her feelings. She brings the money to a port, a staging ground for Kuldeep’s attempted escape, while Chhote closes in from Georgia, adding a final layer of danger. Satbir, ever the opportunist, double-crosses Chhote, aligning with Kuldeep’s plan to remove his rival. In a brutal turn of violence, Kuldeep kills Chhote to avenge his father’s death and to stand as the sole master of his own fate. A stray bullet, however, finds its mark in Arun, the very man who started this chain of events, and he is wounded as the chaos erupts around him.

In the aftermath, as the gangsters retreat and the city settles into a tense quiet, Priti confesses her love for Arun. The moment of truth arrives at the hospital, where Arun’s life hangs in the balance and Priti stands by his side.
