A tense, twist-filled pursuit unfolds after an unnamed killer murders S.I. Mahesh Deshpande and Dr. Srinivas Iyengar, setting off a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game with the police. The chase ends in a dramatic truck accident, and the suspect is taken into custody as the investigation shifts to the formidable CBI officer Vijay Kumar. In a stark interrogation room, the killer finally reveals his identity: Bharath, a real estate dealer with a haunting past. He recounts a brutal history in which Jayaraj, Dr. Srinivas Iyengar, and S.I. Mahesh Deshpande allegedly tortured him for days and manipulated Anjali into contemplating suicide during their wedding anniversary.

As Vijay Kumar digs deeper, the case widens. He is aided by the fact that Anjali, who is very much alive, and a psychiatrist uncover a far more disturbing truth: Bharath suffers from schizophrenia, a condition that has warped his perception so that he believes Anjali was killed by those who tormented him. Bharath is admitted to NIMHANS for treatment, but he manages a daring escape. He tracks down Jayaraj in his nightclub and abducts him, driving him away in a sheep truck. A minor legal complaint over a small accident prompts Vijay Kumar to scrutinize Bharath’s supposed illness more closely, leading to the realization that the murders were premeditated by Bharath and elements within Anjali’s own family.

The investigation then peels back the next layer of the conspiracy, bringing Anjali’s relatives into the light as the truth is laid bare. Bharath had fallen in love with Ashwini, Anjali’s sister, who is pursuing an MS in Bellary. Ashwini’s activism exposes a more sinister web: she learns from Sanyappa and Lakshmavva about illegal mining operations that pollute water and devastate their village. When Ashwini warns the authorities and protests, the very people she confronts—cabinet minister Madhusudhan and his partner Jayaraj—are implicated in a murderous plan. Deshpande and Iyengar are revealed to be collaborators, and Ashwini is killed and buried in a brutal massacre that Sanyappa narrowly escapes, later revealing Ashwini’s fate to Bharath.

Motivated by a deep sense of loss, Bharath and Ashwini’s family unite to exact justice while keeping the cops preoccupied. After a courtroom-worthy reveal of the truth, Bharath corners Jayaraj and Madhusudhan at their mining den. In a climactic confrontation, Bharath uses a haul truck to kill both men, avenging Ashwini’s death. Sanyappa dies in the resulting fire while the mining operation is shut down and all illicit activity is targeted. In the aftermath, Vijay Kumar orchestrates a careful legal maneuver, presenting a false testimony that helps Bharath avoid prison. Reunited with his family, Bharath walks free, his actions framed as a necessary response to a corrupt network that threaded through the mining industry, law enforcement, and political power. The narrative closes on a note of cautious relief, with the mining operations seized and the promise of accountability lingering in the air, as the community begins to heal. In a final nod to the film’s mood and tempo, a brief performance by item song dancer Daisy Shah punctuates the film’s brisk, justice-seeking arc.
