Set in the aftermath of World War II, a quiet French village attempts to move on while the dominant Communist Party hunts down supporters of Marshal Pétain. The village’s bar owner—a unassuming poet who prefers to keep to his work—becomes a target of the Party’s intimidation as they search for a specific loyalist, prompting him to resist their pressure.
