In 1941, a northern French town sees Blanche raising three children, fearing for her husband Victor, who slips out at night. Victor is a Resistance member, and Blanche soon joins the underground. Their network includes Germinal, a hairdresser, and his daughter Marie, eager to help. The film portrays occupation and resistance through women’s eyes.
