In the aftermath of World II, a tiny French village attempts to move beyond the conflict while the dominant Communist Party hunts down supporters of Pétain. The village’s bar owner—a unassuming poet who just wants to run his business—finds himself harassed by the Communists as they search for a specific loyalist, prompting him to resist.
