Within the Woods

Two couples arrive at a remote cabin for a weekend in the woods. They settle in and try to relax, unaware of the ominous force watching them. The isolated setting begins to press on them as the weekend unfolds.

Bruce and Ellen hike into the woods for a picnic and discuss their camping on an Indian burial ground. Bruce disregards Ellen's concerns and pockets an ancient dagger he finds. This discovery plants the seeds for the supernatural trouble to come.

After lunch, Ellen naps and wakes to find Bruce missing. She searches the woods and discovers Bruce's dead body, scarred by fatal knife wounds. A malevolent presence lurks nearby, prompting her to hurry back to the cabin.

Back at the cabin, Ellen tells her friends that Bruce has been murdered, but Scotty treats it as a joke and volunteers to search for him. The mood shifts from disbelief to mounting tension as fear takes hold. The remote setting deepens their sense of isolation.

Shelly heads out to look for the missing men, hoping to calm Ellen's fears. Bruce—now possessed—emerges and murders Shelly with the dagger, muttering a chilling line. The violence escalates as the danger closes in on the survivors.

Ellen encounters her possessed friend and flees into another room, arming herself with knives. An ominous force tries to enter her hiding place, and she fights back, getting injured in the scramble. The tension tightens as the attack draws closer.

A malevolent force breaches Ellen's hiding place, and she lashes out in defense, inadvertently stabbing Scotty when he returns to the cabin. The line between ally and threat blurs in the chaos. The group’s turmoil intensifies as trust collapses.

The demonic Bruce assaults Ellen, forcing her to improvise for survival. She traps him outside and stabs his hand repeatedly to keep him at bay, fighting through fear and exhaustion. The struggle pushes toward a climactic confrontation.

Bleeding Scotty urges Ellen to check the cellar for the gun they brought. She descends, trips and injures herself, then finds the firearm and returns. She learns that Scotty has been stabbed to death, deepening the horror of the night.

The demonic Bruce resumes the assault, forcing Ellen to dig deep for survival. She fights through fatigue and fear, determined to end the nightmare inside the cabin. The struggle barrels toward a brutal climax.

During the struggle, Ellen seizes Bruce's mutilated hand, still clutching the dagger, and uses it to stab him. He bleeds and momentarily falters, but the battle rages on. She fights to maintain control as the demon fights back.

Driven by desperation, Ellen wields an axe and hacks at the writhing Bruce until the demonic threat appears to be neutralized. She collapses into a traumatized silence, overwhelmed by what she has endured. The room reeks of blood and fear.

The corpse of Scotty suddenly springs up and turns toward Ellen, adding one final, shocking twist to the nightmare. The screen cuts to black, leaving Ellen's fate ambiguous and the audience unsettled. The haunting end lingers as the credits approach.
