Set several years after the original, a new antagonist, Dogon, seizes control of Tao, the mystical parallel universe that forms the film’s main setting. On Earth, 12‑year‑old Ryan and his friend Chucky attend a martial‑arts competition in Beijing, where they are abruptly transported to Tao.
