After being beaten by Tatsuya Shima’s legendary ‘Blackbird’ Porsche 911 Turbo, high‑schooler Akio Asakura acquires a heavily tuned first‑generation Datsun S30 Fairlady Z from a junkyard. Rumored cursed as the ‘Devil Z’ due to a series of fatal crashes, Akio learns its former owner shared his name and was killed in a duel with the Blackbird. Meanwhile, model Reina Akikawa joins the rivalry, driving a modified Nissan Skyline GT‑R R32.
