Australian administrator Steve McAllister is sent by the New Guinea Administration to investigate an oil discovery reported by Ned “Shark‑Eye” Kelly. He is accompanied by native Sergeant‑Major Towalaka and French doctor Louise Dumurcet. In the jungle they rescue malaria‑stricken Jeff Clayton, and after being captured by local tribes they secure their release when Dr Dumurcet cures the chief’s fever‑ridden children.
