Detective Jack Valentine is pulled from a desk job onto the streets. His first case ends with a mobster’s murder—he was to become a state witness and was killed with his girlfriend, Alma. Valentine suspects Alma, after learning she’s linked to mob member Michael, but he soon falls for her, pulling him into a deadly game where nothing is as it seems.
