Chacko unknowingly became an informer for Ananthan Pillai. He was unaware of the criminal nature of Pillai's activities and was simply helping with tasks he didn't fully understand. This unwitting involvement ultimately led to his death when Ananthan discovered the betrayal.

Ananthan Pillai murdered Chacko after discovering that Chacko had been unknowingly informing on him. Even though Chacko was unwitting and didn't understand the implications of his actions, Pillai viewed the betrayal as unforgivable and killed him brutally to send a message about disloyalty.
