Three high school friends, Stu (Luke Perry), Tommy (Dan Cortese) and Gus (David Hewlett), hatch a plan for a pleasure cruise through the mysterious Bermuda Triangle, a trip that their would‑be adventure‑loving minds hope will bond them further. Stu’s fiancée Julia (Polly Shannon) insists on joining, adding a spark of romance and tension to the voyage as the group sets sail toward the open sea under a sky that promises nothing but trouble ahead.

In Bermuda, trouble starts early. Gus and Tommy stumble upon a voodoo sacrifice during a brief shore excursion, and Gus snaps a photo, unknowingly triggering a whispered curse from a voodoo priestess. The men feel the weight of the omen, and they quickly retreat, trying to ignore the chill that crawls up their spines as the island water laps at the hull. The sense of unease lingers, quietly gnawing at the edges of their plans.

Back on the dock, the crew’s chartered boat is a rough, weathered wrecker captained by Captain Morgan (Dorian Harewood) and operated with the sharp-eyed Charlie (Olivia d’Abo). A mix of bravado and ambition pushes them to push off into the glimmering blue, chasing the thrill of the sea and the lure of distant shores. The group settles into the uneasy camaraderie that often accompanies young friendships tested by danger, laughter, and a shared appetite for the unknown.

As they dive, Julia experiences a vision—the ghost of a young boy haunts her, pulling her toward danger and almost dragging the life from her. A thick, impenetrable fog rolls in, and every piece of electronic equipment aboard begins to fail, the boat groaning under the weight of the weather’s wrath. Then an enormous silhouette appears on the horizon: the RMS Queen of Scots, a distant and ominous relic that seems out of place in the modern world. Though fear is heavy in the air, the passengers instinctively decide to board the mysterious vessel in hopes of salvaging power, hoping to salvage something that will allow Morgan’s boat to endure another day.

Once aboard the Queen of Scots, they discover the captain’s log and learn that this ship was wrestling with the same technical demons as their own vessel. Morgan, ever the hopeful fixer, insists he can repair the ship’s engines, and the group splits up to search for the power source that will bring the spectral boat back to life. It’s a race against time and a test of nerve, as the line between reality and superstition starts to blur.

In a dim, engine‑lit corridor, Morgan and Tommy stumble upon an elevator that seems to move without power, descending to a lower level. The door opens and a cricket ball rolls out—an eerie, almost mocking sign from the past. They realize something deeply wrong has happened: Morgan’s own boat has drifted away, leaving them trapped in a ship that may not be what it appears to be.

Down below, Gus experiences the supernatural presence more directly and suffers a fatal heart attack, his life slipping away as the crew’s fear deepens. The tension detonates when Stu, driven by a fragile line between desire and desperation, encounters a hidden reserve of money in a vault and a lone cricket bat—an echo of the ship’s dark history. Julia pleads with him to step back, but the pressure and the pull of greed push Stu toward a brutal act: he kills Julia in a fit of rage, turning their voyage into a nightmare of betrayal.

Tommy and Charlie awaken from shared nightmares to the grim reality of their situation. They discover Gus’s body and realize the danger has grown more personal. The truth sinks in as they locate Julia’s body and understand that Stu has murdered her, compounding the wreckage of their trip with a private, deadly coldness.

Captain Morgan remains absorbed in the engine room, oblivious to the earlier bloodshed as he fights to restore power. The truth about Stu’s psychosis surfaces when the captain, gravely wounded, tells Tommy that Stu is mimicking one of the Queen of Scots’ original passengers—someone who, on the final voyage, went insane and killed everyone with a cricket bat. The revelation seals the fate of the pursuit: trust is gone, and the crew must face a relentless pursuit across a ship that seems to come alive with malice.

The escape attempt culminates in a brutal partial triumph. Tommy and Charlie manage to reach a small dinghy, but Stu tracks them down with a savage determination. In a desperate struggle, Tommy pushes Stu through a pane of glass, and Charlie and Tommy rig the vessel with petrol in a final bid to break free. Charlie makes it onto the dinghy; Tommy is soon dragged into a violent confrontation with the bloodied Stu as the ship trembles on its axis. Charlie’s quick thinking saves her: she loosens a pulley, the tangled cords trap Stu’s feet, and he’s dragged off the ship to a grim end, hanging from the rigging as the vessel lurches back to life.

Tommy escapes to the dinghy, the Queen of Scots awakened and hungrily pursuing them once more. He fires a flare toward the spectral ship, touching off the petrol and triggering a fiery explosion that sends a bright, terrible bloom across the dark water. The dinghy drifts toward safety as the chase subsides, but the danger lingers in the memory of all that has happened.

Rescued by patrol boats, Tommy and Charlie recount a story that sounds almost unbelievable: the Queen of Scots was believed lost at sea over four years earlier, a grim secret that suggests the Bermuda Triangle is more than a natural hazard—it might be a wormhole that bends time, space, and mortal fate. As the credits roll, the sea keeps its secrets close, leaving the survivors with a chilling sense that some journeys into the Triangle can never truly end.
