Eight years earlier, Cheyenne warriors ambushed the Baudine wagon, seizing Morgan and renaming him Two Persons. Raised among the tribe, Two Persons is now reunited with his brother Quentin, a frontier‑unfamiliar doctor. Together they pursue their missing sister Patricia, also taken, hoping she still lives, as they brave the harsh frontier together.
