Their relationship is opposed by Sevtap’s brother Latif, a German‑raised simpleton who initially blocks the marriage. After the pair forge a telegram pretending to be their father’s approval, wedding plans start. When Latif returns from Germany, he discovers the ruse, threatens the union, but eventually yields, allowing the couple to marry.
