In 2009, a small unit of U.S. soldiers stationed at the remote Combat Outpost Keating in Afghanistan faced a coordinated and overwhelming attack by Taliban fighters. Located deep within a valley, the outpost became the focal point of the Battle of Kamdesh, the deadliest American engagement of the Afghan War. Bravo Troop, 3-61 CAV, fought valiantly to defend their position, ultimately becoming one of the most decorated units in the 19-year conflict. Their mission was survival against incredible odds.
