Greene portrays an ambitious boxer blessed with a devastating right hand and a generous spirit. By day he tends a bar’s night shift while courting his girlfriend, whose father—played by Ernest Borgnine—condemns him as a good‑for‑nothing. When local promoter (Giuliano Gemma) spots his talent, he vows to turn Greene into a champion.
