In a sun-drenched, small southern California town, a promising athlete named Steve dreams big and returns home with the hope of turning a college baseball career into something lasting. He moves through a tight circle of friends—Duff, Seb, and T—whose wealth and privilege cushion a lifestyle built on party chaos, casual bravado, and a habit of harassing local workers like Ahkmed. After Duff, Rene Heger finds a gun in a girl’s house, he begins a dangerous slide into crime, with T, Vince Rimoldi, the loudmouthed instigator with a Napoleon complex, riding shotgun beside him.

The film pivots on a brutal turning point: Duff kills a kid who volunteers at the police department, a moment that signals the collapse of their reckless hubris.
