The Guyver

Dr. Tetsu Segawa steals the Guyver unit from Chronos and is pursued by Lisker. During their confrontation, Segawa—who is also a Zoanoid—is killed by Lisker. Lisker returns the metal briefcase to Chronos' president Balcus, only to discover the unit was hidden elsewhere and the briefcase contains an old toaster.

Sean Barker's scooter breaks down in a back alley and a gang attacks him. The Guyver unit activates and fuses with Sean, forming the armored suit. The armor dissolves into two scars on the back of his neck, leaving him stunned by his transformation.

The next night, Sean goes to Mizuki's apartment and finds his sensei murdered and Mizuki abducted by Lisker's thugs. Max Reed, a CIA agent, informs Mizuki about Segawa's death, heightening the urgency. Sean and Reed plot a rescue as the danger closes in.

With Reed's help, Sean rescues Mizuki from Lisker's captors, but the trio is soon chased by Zoanoid assailants. They slip away into an abandoned warehouse, where Mizuki remains in danger and the fight continues.

Sean and the others face off against Lisker and his Zoanoid forces. Sean's abilities surface again as he battles the gang, and a headbutt creates a flaw in the Guyver's control system. Lisker and his crew begin to exploit the potential weakness of the Control Metal.

In the ferocious melee, Weber is killed by Sean, and Mizuki fears the worst for her companion. The Zoanoid assault continues and Lisker rips the Control Metal off Sean's forehead, causing the armor to disintegrate and killing Sean in the process.

Mizuki wakes up at the Chronos headquarters to Balcus flaunting a gallery of Zoanoids and questioning how Sean activated the Guyver. Dr. East, the head of genetics, discovers that the Control Metal is regenerating itself into a new Guyver unit.

Mizuki attempts to seize the Control Metal, but it attaches to her hand and resists disposal. M.C. Striker accidentally flings the metal away, where it is swallowed by Dr. East, triggering a dangerous chain of events as Lisker pursues it.

Dr. East dies from internal turmoil as Sean bursts through East's body, revealing that the Guyver unit can regenerate both itself and its host. Sean and Mizuki then free Reed from the experimental chamber, setting up the next phase of their fight.

Sean, Mizuki, and Reed confront Lisker in a climactic battle. The Guyver's defenses prove formidable as Lisker presses his advantage, and Reed mutates briefly into a cockroach-like Zoanoid before dying as his system rejects the new form.

The Mega Smasher Cannon on the Guyver's chest erupts, obliterating Balcus and the laboratory. Sean deactivates the Guyver armor and, with Mizuki by his side, prepares to depart Chronos HQ as Castle and Striker look on in astonishment.
