Segawa's theft and death at Chronos

Dr. Tetsu Segawa steals the Guyver unit from Chronos and is pursued by Lisker. During their confrontation, Segawa—who is also a Zoanoid—is killed by Lisker. Lisker returns the metal briefcase to Chronos' president Balcus, only to discover the unit was hidden elsewhere and the briefcase contains an old toaster.

Sean Barker's scooter breaks down in a back alley and a gang attacks him. The Guyver unit activates and fuses with Sean, forming the armored suit. The armor dissolves into two scars on the back of his neck, leaving him stunned by his transformation.
