On Christmas Day 1943 in a remote Serbian village, two American airmen crash behind enemy lines and are taken in by local Chetnik fighters who initially offer them shelter and food. When the men learn that German forces are hunting the pilots, the Chetniks’ hospitality turns to suspicion and hostility, putting the strangers in danger.
