Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai

Karthik, a lazy, jobless, upper-middle-class man, is introduced as someone who enjoys hanging out with his friends and has a desire for the best in everything. His upper-middle-class background and carefree attitude set the stage for his character's outlook on life and relationships.

Karthik decides to romancing three girls simultaneously, testing them and rejecting two to finally marry the one he likes the most. He believes in trying out everything before selecting his ideal life partner, reflecting his over-ambitious and experimental approach to life.

Karthik first meets Jyothi, an athlete living in a poorer area of Chennai, who is independent and assertive, especially when she slaps a man trying to touch her inappropriately. Karthik's interest in her begins as he is captivated by her strong personality.

At a marriage event, Karthik meets Priya, a girl with traditional values who believes in loving and marrying only once. She is his second candidate, and Karthik tries to impress her with lies, aiming to win her trust.

Karthik's third choice is Tejaswini, a rich and arrogant heir to a fortune. She has a history of failed love but is drawn to Karthik's charm, and he successfully wins her heart while hiding his true intentions.

Tejaswini confronts Karthik after finding out about his arrangement with the other girls, thanks to her caring father Ranganathan who discreetly reveals the truth. Frustrated, she dumps him and vows revenge, feeling betrayed.

Jyothi eventually discovers Karthik's deception after Tejaswini's revelations, which leads her to reject him. This marks the collapse of Karthik’s initial plan to play with multiple relationships.

Realizing the value of true love, Karthik chooses to settle down with Priya, influenced by her sincerity and his own reflections on his mistakes. His decision is driven by experiencing genuine affection and regret.

Jyothi's brother Anbalazhagan confronts Karthik about his betrayal of Jyothi. Karthik reveals the truth about his manipulations, leading to him being beaten up by Anbalazhagan and his gang.

Karthik causes a traffic accident during the confrontation, resulting in injuries that require hospitalization. In the hospital, he pretends to have lost his memory to gain Priya's sympathy and to reflect on his past behavior.

Using his pretense of amnesia, Karthik manages to rekindle Priya's love and understanding. His plan to change his ways seems successful as she returns to him, believing in his sincerity.

The film ends with Karthik breaking the fourth wall to suggest he plans to genuinely love Priya from now on. He asks the audience if they believe him, leaving his future open-ended and up to interpretation.
