Tony, a trapeze artist, joins a modest circus. After a storm destroys their tent, he stays for his love of the beautiful Belmira, a potential rider whose horse was sold. The troupe performs under the stars, scrimping to buy a new tent on credit. Belmira longs for a real home, while Tony remains fascinated by circus life, and gloomy days return.
