Imogen’s plan was to use Adilah’s desire to reunite with her daughter Yasmina as leverage, hoping to uncover the details of the ship carrying the bomb destined for America. She arranged for Adilah and herself to escape to Canada, where Yasmina could be safely reunited with her aunt, Noor. However, things did not go as planned. Imogen tried to secure fake passports through her old contact Michael Althorp, but she quickly realized he was not genuine in his intentions—the documents were never going to be provided, and Michael was secretly involved with the Russian FSB, working to bring about a staged terrorist attack to destabilize the US and provoke global conflict. It turns out, the true mastermind behind the bomb plot was actually her father, Marcus Seabright, who had been alive all along and was secretly working with the FSB. This revelation casts Imogen’s entire past into a new light, suggesting she might have been manipulated into her actions.

In the tense final sequence, when Adilah is about to reveal the ship’s name, she is betrayed by her hostile driver, Patrick, who kills her to keep the information from escaping. Imogen is able to escape the chaos, and with Malik’s help, she manages to thwart the terrorist plan. They rescue Yasmina and her aunt, and the ship meant to carry the bomb is raided, but the attack is ultimately foiled, and no casualties occur.

The story closes on a bittersweet note. Adilah dies, but her final act—writing the ship’s name on the foggy windscreen—ensures that her effort to prevent the attack is recognized. Meanwhile, Imogen uncovers her father’s true involvement, realizing that her entire life has been intertwined with deception and manipulation. The series ends with her contemplating her next move, now aware that her past is more complex than she previously understood. The final shot hints at a possible future where Imogen might confront her father, setting the stage for a potential second season.
