Death of a Vlogger

Told in the documentary-style format, the story centers on Graham, a once-popular vlogger whose viewership has been steadily declining. He partners with online ghost hunter Steve and, along with his partner Erin, they lean into a revival of attention generated by eerie livestreams, blurring the line between reality and performance. As their numbers climb, a professional journalist and debunker enters the frame, Alice, who challenges the facade and reveals footage that appears to show [Graham] and [Steve] admitting that this and all subsequent videos were false.

Graham experiences a harsh fallout, though Erin and Steve manage to weather the initial blow, with a contrived apology video backfiring further when a ghostly apparition seems to appear in the background. Undeterred, Graham continues releasing more videos that show him becoming increasingly unhinged and directing hostility at Steve, whom he suspects of orchestrating the hauntings.

The tension peaks when Graham tells Erin that he needs help but wants one last night in his flat to gather evidence to clear his name. During that vigil he is attacked by a ghostly figure and appears to be caught in a spatial loop, only escaping when the specter pushes him down the stairs, leaving him unconscious.

In a later interview with Erin, the documentarian learns that Graham survived the fall and has begun therapy, and she hints that he plans to return to social media. She also notes that the second haunting may be fake and points to evidence of a broader scheme—hinting at a shared business email and prior collaborations among the trio. The film closes with Graham returning to the internet as predicted, but he insists that the haunting was real. During his livestream he proclaims the events authentic, and as a piece of paper levitates, he hangs himself. The ending leaves the truth deliberately unsettled, inviting viewers to decide how much of what they saw was real and whether the final moment actually occurred.
