When the socialist revolution nationalizes property, a rich woman hides her valuables inside the twelve chairs of her dining set. After her death, her nephew discovers the secret, but the chairs have been redistributed to different owners. He embarks on a quest to locate each chair and reclaim the hidden treasure he believes is his inheritance.
