The Three Mesquiteers hunt a murderer and his gang after they kill a State Agricultural Service official investigating a hoof‑and‑mouth outbreak. The killer fears quarantine would destroy his herd, but without isolation the disease will wipe out his cattle and those of nearby ranchers. Their Great Dane, Buck, helps them bring the outlaws to justice.
