When the government moves to lift restrictions on rounding up a protected herd of wild horses, corrupt rancher Rance Macgowan plants his trained killer horse Volcano as a false leader to scare ranchers and profit from the chaos. After Volcano kills Sheriff Miller, the Three Mesquiteers—three daring sons of trouble—find themselves embroiled in the dispute, struggling to protect the herd and expose Macgowan’s scheme.
