The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

In the early hours of August 18, 1973, a grave robber commits a disturbing act by stealing multiple corpses from a cemetery in Newt, Muerto County, Texas. This grotesque act culminates in a horrifying display as the robber creates a monument from the bodies, leaving it for the locals to discover.

A group of five teenagers, including Sally Hardesty and her paraplegic brother Franklin, embark on a summer road trip across Texas. As they drive, they stop at a cemetery to pay respects to Sally and Franklin's grandfather, which sets a foreboding tone for their journey.

While traveling, the group drives past a slaughterhouse, and Franklin recounts the Hardesty family's unsettling ties to the meat industry. This revelation heightens the eerie atmosphere surrounding their seemingly innocent road trip.

The teens pick up a hitchhiker who shares troubling details about his own family's connection to the old slaughterhouse. Tensions escalate when he borrows Franklin's knife, leading to a violent confrontation where he attacks Franklin after they refuse to pay him for a Polaroid photo.

Running low on fuel, the group stops at a gas station only to find it completely dry. Their intrigue about the abandoned Hardesty family home nearby leads them to explore, further distancing them from safety.

Kirk and Pam choose to search for a swimming hole but instead find a house filled with dilapidated cars and neglected generators. As Kirk searches for gasoline inside, Pam anxiously waits outside, unaware of the impending horror.

Kirk is brutally killed by a large man in a skin mask with a hammer as he enters the house searching for gas. His gruesome fate marks the beginning of a horrifying night for the group.
