Eddie Kennedy, trucker, crashes into Ann Reid and knocks a dairy owner unconscious. Claiming he acted in solidarity with farmers, he sparks a boycott that forces the owner to bring milk elsewhere, but the road is blocked and Eddie is arrested again. He escapes to meet Ann, but a farmer is murdered, Ann vanishes, and Eddie is blamed, sparking a chase.
