A merchant arrives at the castle with musical instruments. The King rejects him before Peewit arrives, leaving behind a six-holed flute. The King throws the flute into the fireplace, which spews green smoke. When the fire is out, Peewit retrieves the flute unharmed and cleans it.

Flute’s magical effect revealed

Peewit begins to play the flute for the entire castle. The music seems to bend the will of the listeners, causing everyone to dance uncontrollably.

McCreep learns and steals the flute

That night, McCreep learns from the merchant that the same flute remains at the castle. He travels there and steals the flute from Peewit.

The king orders Peewit and the young knight Johan to catch McCreep and recover the stolen instrument. They set out to pursue the thief across the castle grounds.
