Handsome Harry is a poor, honest, hard‑working young man. The villain, his cousin of Sniveley Whiplash, is deceitful and selfish, even willing to steal his mother’s false teeth. The attractive but fickle heroine initially marries the villain for his money, spurning Harry’s love. Years later, after both sides age, she finally chooses Harry, while the defeated villain seeks consolation with young chorus girls.
