In 1519 Zurich, young widow Anna Reinhart struggles with fear and uncertainty for her three children. The arrival of priest Ulrich Zwingli at the Grossmünster church disrupts her life, as his sermons challenge the Catholic Church and ignite passionate debate. Anna is initially frightened by Zwingli’s revolutionary ideas, but she grows increasingly drawn to his actions and commitment to charity.
