While a group of travelers, among them a monk, seeks refuge at a remote mountain inn, the innkeeper admits to the monk that he laces his soup with poison, murders the guests, steals their belongings and buries the bodies in the yard. Bound by the seal of confession, the monk struggles to protect the remaining guests without breaking his sacred oath.
