In 2003, Iraqi journalist Yunis Khatayer Abbas was arrested and recounts his nine-month ordeal at Abu Ghraib prison. Accused of plotting to kill Tony Blair, he endures torture, deprivation, and false accusations. The film combines home movies, cartoons, and the testimony of his U.S. Army ally, Benjamin Thomas, to depict his experiences. It offers a stark portrayal of the human cost of war and a powerful critique of U.S. detention practices.
