The Pirate and the Slave Girl

Captain Drakut, known as the Dragon, terrorizes the Mediterranean with his ship. He hijacks ships on forays and abducts the women to sell them as slaves to Turkish traffickers in North Africa. His ruthless rule makes sea lanes unsafe and feared.

Drakut's raid on the ship San Luca ends with Bianca, the governor of Rhodes's daughter, being forcibly taken. Hidden among the cargo are secret papers of the Doge of Venice, which could change political fortunes. The raid tightens the governor's fear of losing Bianca to a barbarous despot.

The governor fears Bianca may be bartered away and agrees to release Roberto Diego in exchange for his help. Diego, a notorious adventurer and son of the Red Corsair, vows to rescue Bianca and safeguard the Venice papers. His motive is personal as well as patriotic, offering a risky bargain.

Roberto is released and joins Drakut's crew to pursue his revenge for his father's death. He aims to rescue Bianca and retrieve the secret documents, though others remain suspicious of his true motives. Francesco the Catalan painter becomes his only ally among the sailors.

Gamal, Drakut's brutal right-hand man, flogs Roberto when he flirts with Bianca, signaling the volatile power dynamics aboard the ship. The crew grows tense as trust frays under the pressure of the mission. Roberto must prove himself despite the hostility.
