Twins Sarah and Gaëlle, both 25, live opposite lives—Sarah a Carmelite nun in Brazil for a decade, Gaëlle imprisoned for a heinous crime. Sarah’s mysterious abdominal pain brings priest‑physician Fr. Joachim into her life; he later follows her to Paris to locate Gaëlle, now on probation. A probing reporter, the convent’s mother superior, and Joachim’s study of twin symmetry converge as the sisters grapple with their entwined past.
