Kyle Johnson enjoys a life of small-town success, with his lucky coin appearing to grant him effortless luck. As Heritage Day approaches, his curiosity about his family’s origins grows. He senses there is more beneath the carefully curated memories his parents share.

Kyle begins to notice evasive answers about their past and why his last name was changed. The questions of lineage become a growing riddle that gnaws at him. The mystery hints at a family history that extends beyond luck.

At an Irish festival with his best friend Russell, Kyle spots coins that resemble his own and feels drawn to a hidden heritage. He even steps-dances during a performance led by Seamus McTiernen, only to be knocked down in the crowd. The festival becomes the trigger for the magic that will reshape his life.

The morning after the festival, Kyle discovers a startling change: he’s shorter and his hair has turned a fiery red. His mother’s distant demeanor signals the family secret has reached a breaking point. A magnet clinging to his coin confirms the talisman’s power is more than superstition.

Over breakfast, his mother whispers that they are Irish and hints at a long-running disagreement about a 'mixed marriage'. She ties the coin’s magic to their lineage and implies a guardian duty that must be fulfilled. Kyle’s sense of self shatters and then begins to re-form around a larger heritage.

Seeking answers, the family travels to a factory tied to the O’Reilly legacy to reclaim what was taken. Security pushes them out, but Kyle and the Young Achievers sneak inside to uncover the truth. Kyle explains, as best as he can, the people and magic behind the family’s lineage.

Inside the factory, they confront Kyle’s grandfather—the true Reilly O’Reilly—who insists he didn’t steal the coin. He reveals that the coin must be held by the youngest family member for the leprechauns to blend with humans. The moment makes the coin feel both a gift and a test of responsibility.

The pursuit leads them to Seamus, an evil leprechaun determined to seize the coin for himself. Russell joins the quest as they chase Seamus to a camper parked at the end of a rainbow. In a tense moment, Seamus captures Reilly in a shimmering, tornadic mask and Kyle must decide how to protect his family.

Seamus offers a grim bargain: he will release the grandfather if Kyle surrenders the coin. Kyle counters with a bold bet—trusting in himself in a game without the coin. This audacious choice propels them toward a Gaelic-sports showdown that spans dimensions.

They enter a Gaelic-sports battle across dimensions where Kyle, Russell, and the clan must outplay Seamus and his followers. The contest tests skill, speed, and strategy as the fate of the family hangs in the balance. The clash ends in a tense draw, with Seamus unwilling to let Reilly go.

To resolve the situation, Kyle bets on Seamus in basketball and, without the coin, the trio is transported back to Kyle’s junior high state championship. Russell delivers the game-winning shot, breaking Seamus’s hold and freeing Reilly. Seamus is banished to eternity near Lake Erie to keep him from harming the family.

The school talent show becomes a communal celebration of heritage as Kyle performs an authentic Irish dance and the folk song 'This Land is Your Land'. Bonnie joins in, and the crowd follows in a chorus of belonging and growth. Kyle learns that luck isn’t essential, and family, courage, and culture are the true magic.
