A British couple enjoys a vacation on a private yacht but faces a nightmare when their daughter is abducted by dinosaurs. This incident occurs after she explores a nearby beach alone, setting off a series of events that reveal the dangers of Isla Sorna.

Ian Malcolm confronts Peter Ludlow, the new CEO of InGen, who accuses him of damaging the company's reputation. The meeting escalates as Malcolm realizes that these allegations have severely impacted his professional life, leading to the cancellation of his tenure at the university.

John Hammond explains the history of Isla Sorna, describing it as a former breeding ground for dinosaurs. He reveals that after Hurricane Clarissa, the dinosaurs have been living freely, adapting to their environment and forming unique social structures.

Hammond appeals to Malcolm to lead a team to document the dinosaurs in order to protect Site B from InGen's exploitation. Despite initially hesitating, Malcolm learns that his ex-girlfriend Sarah Harding is already on the island, prompting him to gather a rescue team.

Malcolm assembles a team that includes Eddie Carr and Nick Van Owen, alongside his daughter Kelly who sneaks along. As they travel to Site B, they prepare for the challenges ahead, aimed at locating Sarah and her research on the dinosaurs.

Upon finding Sarah, the team learns about her significant findings regarding the dinosaurs’ behavior. She demonstrates how herbivores have changed their diets, and shares her belief that carnivores, including the T-Rex, exhibit nurturing behavior towards their young.

Peter Ludlow enlists Roland Tembo, a skilled hunter, to capture rare dinosaur specimens, specifically targeting a T-Rex. Tembo's sinister tactics include using an infant T-Rex to create a trap for its parents, leading the group into a perilous situation.

Nick sabotages Ludlow's operation, unleashing a chaotic scene as dinosaurs run wild. This results in a frantic scramble for safety as the team grapples with the dangers of an uncontained dinosaur population.

Malcolm decides to help the injured infant T-Rex amidst the chaos but soon finds himself in dire straits as adult T-Rexes appear. A confrontation ensues, bringing the group to the edge of peril as they struggle to survive against the massive predators.

In a desperate attempt to save the group, Eddie binds their RV to a tree to prevent it from falling off a cliff. Tragically, he loses his life when attempting to fend off the adult T-Rexes, showcasing the ultimate sacrifice in the face of danger.

As the group regroups, they concoct a strategy to escape the island while facing threats from raptors and other predators. Their plan becomes increasingly urgent as they maneuver through the treacherous environment of Site B.

As night falls, Malcolm manages to send a distress signal, hoping for rescue. The impending arrival of their rescue boat provides a glimmer of hope amid the chaos of dinosaurs around them.

In a dramatic turn of events, the captured T-Rex is transported to San Diego, where disaster soon follows. The adult T-Rex escapes, wreaking havoc through the city, prompting Malcolm and Sarah to act quickly to address the chaos.

Determined to recapture the rogue T-Rex, Malcolm and Sarah devise a risky plan to use the infant T-Rex as bait. This leads to a tense and dangerous confrontation at the docks, where they hope to restore order.

Sarah successfully tranquilizes the adult T-Rex, allowing calm to return as military forces act to secure the situation. As they prepare to escort the dinosaur back to Isla Sorna, the team reflects on the devastating impact of humanity’s meddling with nature.
