Rousing outdoor romance reminiscent of “The Virginian.” After his friend is murdered, Dick Bailey suspects the outlaw Stack, who works with a crooked sheriff. In a drunken vow he promises to marry the first woman he sees—Ruth Hammond, his dead friend’s sister, who has just taken charge of the Hammond ranch. Angry at his crude proposal, she fires him, but when Stack claims the ranch for back taxes she rehiring Dick and his friends to fight Stack’s scheme.
