The Land Before Time XIV: Journey of the Brave

Littlefoot waits for Bron in the Great Valley for his yearly visit. Wild Arms arrives with the news that Bron is stranded at Fire Mountain, weighing heavily on Littlefoot. Despite the danger, he resolves to search for his father, and the rest of the herd soon joins the trek.

The group treks toward Bron's last known location, facing the daunting earth divide blocking their path. Some elders advise taking the safer Long Valley route, but Littlefoot believes time is too precious and presses on. They manage to topple a tree to create a crossing that lets them continue toward their goal.

Night falls as the party endures two close encounters with the fearsome Yutyrannus. The adults realize the journey has become personal, and they decide to bring two younger members—Chomper and Ruby—to guide and protect them. Wild Arms, paralyzed by fear of Chomper, collapses, forcing Chomper to take the lead by scent and instinct.

In the morning, a rift opens between Littlefoot and Cera over which direction to take. Disagreeing, Littlefoot chooses to continue on his own, driven by urgency to reach Bron. The rest of the group follows, trying to keep pace despite the strain.

A swirling sand cloud descends and Littlefoot is trapped inside a hidden cave. There he meets Etta, a Pteranodon who seems to know his father and carries clues about Bron's fate. Etta offers guidance and hope, promising to help him move forward.

Back with the others, Petrie has gone missing and encounters a tribe of diggers. The group locates him and departs with the diggers, who appoint a new leader for themselves. Petrie's detour becomes a key thread in the larger quest to find Bron.

Inside the cave, Etta reveals Bron's last rescue mission—his attempt to save Wild Arms left him stranded in danger. She guides Littlefoot through the darkness, even singing a hopeful tune to keep his courage up. Her knowledge of Bron adds urgency to the search.

The group is pursued by a Carnotaurus, creating a tense chase. Etta creates an opening by striking a hole in the cave ceiling, enabling their escape and reunion with Littlefoot. The renewed bond strengthens their resolve as they press toward Bron.

With renewed courage, they head toward Fire Mountain and locate Bron, battered but alive. He urges the kids to retreat to safety, but Littlefoot refuses to abandon him. The reunion cements the group's resolve to face danger together.

A Carnotaurus continues the chase as lava advances toward them. Wild Arms' fearsome bluster distracts the predator when Archaeornithomimus appears. Etta and the kids protect Bron, pouring water on the flowing lava and using a sturdy tree to pry him free.

The lava traps Littlefoot and Bron again, but a daring leap across molten lava carries them to safety. The rest of the herd—led by Chomper and Ruby—races to their side, closing the circle around family and friends. The group emerges stronger for having faced the peril together.

Reunited, the group returns to the Great Valley, where the journey reinforces the lesson that true bravery comes from teamwork and standing by one another. They gain a deeper appreciation for companionship and what they can accomplish when they unite. The adventure ends with the group stronger and more hopeful.
