After a stranger slips a cryptic note to teenager Bert Hale, he and his three friends become unwitting custodians of the clue that could stop a plot to assassinate a visiting Russian premier in Los Angeles. As they piece together the mystery, they race to expose the conspirators before the attack can be carried out.
