Drawing on Knud Rasmussen’s 1922 “Great Sled Journey” journal, the film follows the Inuit perspective across Arctic Canada, depicting their traditional beliefs and way of life. It centers on the last great Inuit shaman and his spirited daughter as the shaman grapples with the spread of Christianity among Greenland’s Inuit.
