The Jewel of the Nile

As the once passionate romance between Joan Wilder and Jack Colton begins to wane, their mundane existence takes center stage. However, their personal aspirations come under scrutiny when Joan encounters the alluring Omar Khalifa, an Arab ruler who offers her an enticing chance to write his biography.

Despite Jack’s hesitations about the new direction in Joan’s life, she agrees to set sail towards the unknown with Omar, leaving Jack in her wake. Back in the Mediterranean, Jack unexpectedly runs into Ralph, the sly conman from their previous Colombian adventure, who insists that Jack surrender the legendary stone they unearthed. In a twist, a mysterious Arab named Tarak discloses to Jack the alarming reality of Omar’s motives, revealing that he possesses the coveted “Jewel of the Nile.” Just as Tarak finishes his critical revelations, Jack’s boat, the Angelina, is rocked by an explosion initiated by one of Omar’s henchmen. In an unexpected alliance, Ralph and Jack join forces to locate Joan and the elusive Jewel.

As the narrative unfolds, Joan learns that her new patron, Omar, is not the benevolent figure she envisioned. In fact, he is a tyrant harboring ambitions to control the Arab nations. Deep within the palace, she meets Al-Julhara, a venerated holy man who embodies the essence of the “Jewel of the Nile,” and is the very personification of Omar’s fears. Al-Julhara confides in Joan about his intention to unveil Omar’s treachery during a ceremony in Kadir.

Recognizing the pivotal role Al-Julhara plays in thwarting Omar’s scheme, Joan takes fate into her own hands and embarks with him on a daring journey to confront the dictator. Their treacherous path leads them to an unexpected encounter with Jack, and the trio escapes into the desert using one of Omar’s commandeered F-16 fighter jets. Meanwhile, Ralph finds himself at the mercy of Tarak’s Sufi tribe, who are determined to safeguard the Jewel for their kin.

As they traverse the harsh terrain of the Nubian mountains, the flame of love rekindles between Joan and Jack, leading her to impart a profound truth: the real essence of the Jewel lies not in its physical form, but in Al-Julhara himself. In Kadir, Omar gears up to mislead his audience with a grand spectacle orchestrated by a British rock promoter. Yet, just in time, Jack, Joan, and Al-Julhara arrive to reveal Omar’s deceit.

In an exhilarating rescue, Ralph, with the support of the Sufi warriors, bursts onto the scene, liberating the trio from Omar’s clutches. As Omar steps onto the central platform to deliver a passionate address to his people, Jack and Joan strategically cause a diversion that ignites chaos. The once-clear skies turn ominous as flames engulf the stage, separating Jack and Joan amid the turmoil. As the inferno blazes, Omar finds himself trapped on the scorched framework, facing a resolute Joan.
